A blog with news and updates on team Dark Matter.
when players fail to be good players
Published on October 21, 2009 By TDM-Silverdust In Demigod Multiplayer

So the other day i was in a lobby waiting for it to fill up.

I was the fifth player in a 3v3 game. Forces of light then thought the

teams to be inbalanced and a guy left. They asked me to join their team and so i did.

With a 7 games/ 29% win player joining dark now, we were back at 5 players waiting.

But then every (good)player that joined and ended up with the n00b left.

It took forever to get the game going so i joined the n00b on dark again.

Knowing that my team could lose but didnt mind. Not because i wanted to get started.

But to HELP a n00b get into demigod.

I know i didnt change to world, but atleast i like to think i helped the community a bit.

So next time if you think your so good, teach a n00b how to be tht aswell.

So what if you have 1 loss on your awesome winning streak. Be a Hero and sacifice for the greater good.

Good call my friend. I even go so far as to give the opponent tips, and ask if they're doing ok if I notice apparently poor play, just so everyone benefits from the game, if even a little.

Last night when I said, "gg, you guys played well" to the team (not premade, just two pugs) that beat me and another pugger, one of them responded by saying, "wow, someone with sportsmanship." People seriously need to quit being such stat whores and balance the teams...besides you can still win on the lower ranked team if you just communicate.

I try, however I've been met with "I played DotA ROFL save your tips" more than a few times. If I notice someone is making mistakes, I try and be nice with explaining their mistake, however trying to teach and play well at the same time often results in my tips coming across as orders rather than tips. I'm working on an indepth guide to the Early game at the moment, which is where I see the majority of preventable mistakes.

You're right guys

I think everyone should teach the guys in his team .. well they have bad stats? they are playing like noobs?

help them, everyone can be good and everyone bought this game so he wants to get better!

Help the community. You wouldn't like an community like in DOTA.
